Benjy & Sofia

Earth lovers, practical dreamers & lifelong students of life.

Awakening Eden is our living offering: a place where regeneration meets beauty, grounded action meets spirit, and wisdom becomes something we actually practise.

We care about living soil, healthy water, food forests, resilient communities, inner renewal and the relationships that make all of them possible. We are interested in fewer perfect slogans and more living proof: clearer next steps, healthier places, stronger relationships and people who feel able to act.

Our invitation is simple: learn with us, question with us, grow something useful, and help leave life more alive than we found it.

Our shared vision

A living place where people, land and possibility can flourish.

Awakening Eden is a meeting place for practical regeneration, learning, community and the courage to build a more life-serving future together.

Healthy soil. Living water. Abundant food. Thriving ecosystems. Animals and wild places protected. Human beings remembering how to participate, not merely consume. We want to turn good intentions into gardens, food forests, restoration projects, gatherings, festivals, collaborations and places that genuinely increase the capacity of life.

Our longer horizon is to connect people, land, knowledge and resources so regenerative ideas can become living systems: restoring watersheds and ecosystems, creating places for wellbeing and learning, supporting biodiversity, and helping life return where it has been depleted.

One living system, four clear doors

Choose one grounded doorway.

Begin with one useful step. Explore deeper when curiosity calls. Awakening Eden is here to help turn overwhelm into possibility, learning into action and separate efforts into thriving systems.

Our mission

Regenerate life at every level.

Awakening Eden exists to protect life, restore relationship and help regenerate the living world — bringing back water, fertile soil, biodiversity, food, habitat and human belonging, from gardens and farms to watersheds, ecosystems and communities.

We work with regeneration, syntropy and symbiosis as practical guides: strengthening relationships, cycling resources wisely, increasing diversity, keeping living roots in the ground, caring for water and building systems that become more capable over time.

For us, interbeing is a guiding worldview. It reminds us that personal wellbeing, ecological health and community resilience are not isolated projects. We want to embody what we teach, speak up where life needs a voice, share useful solutions openly, and walk our talk with humility, humour and dirty hands.

That means co-creating regenerative land projects, workshops, circles, events, learning spaces, partnerships and, over time, regenerative villages and demonstration places where people can experience a different pattern of living rather than merely hearing about it.

We are especially calling in Earth guardians, stewards, practitioners, builders, educators, healers and fellow creators who feel the same pull: to build places where regeneration and wellbeing are embodied in daily life. Places that honour healing without becoming trapped in endless healing loops, and turn what we learn into how we grow food, care for water, build relationships, make decisions, create livelihoods and serve the wider living world.

Some people call this emerging way of living New Earth or 5D consciousness. We hold that language as a spiritual worldview and invitation: a shift toward greater awareness, responsibility, love, coherence and interconnection, expressed through our thoughts, emotions, inner work and, most importantly, the actions and systems we create together.

We also want to help redirect resources toward life: meeting aligned investors, philanthropists, land stewards and organisations now, while building regenerative livelihoods and enterprises that can allow us, in time, to become philanthropists and long-term stewards ourselves. The aim is not growth for its own sake, but greater capacity to protect ecosystems, restore water cycles, support animals and biodiversity, and seed projects that serve generations beyond us.

The future our hearts know is possible is not something we wait for. We practise it into being: inner, ecological, relational and economic regeneration made visible through the way we live, build, restore, gather, share resources and care for one another — together, as one family of life.

A place to return to

A home for practical hope.

Awakening Eden is a living library, a gathering place and an invitation to remember what becomes possible when knowledge meets love—and love becomes action.

We are not waiting for a more beautiful world to arrive. We are learning to become its gardeners, listeners, builders and joyful protectors.

Here, regeneration is both inner and outer: healthy soil and steadier nervous systems; water held in the land and wisdom carried through community; food forests, holistic living and the courage to begin where we are.

Come for a guide, a garden plan, an inspiring film or a quiet breath. Leave with one living next step—and return whenever you need.

The future is something we practise together.

The question beneath everything

How can we become a force of healing?

For ourselves, for each other, and for this beautiful living Earth?

One breath. One seed. One loving action at a time.

The gardens that grew us

From busy lives to a life organised around regeneration.

Our path has moved through Germany, Colombia, Australia and Portugal, through gardens, retreats, communities, land projects, mistakes, teachers and a lot of unlearning.

Across seven formative years in Australia, living systems and community spaces changed the way we listened: to land, to one another and to the relationships that actually sustain a good life.

In Portugal, the work has become increasingly practical: regenerative land design, water and soil thinking, food forests, orchard restoration, workshops, a growing Living Library and the long-term question of how regenerative places can support both ecology and human livelihoods.

Sofia’s reflection Regeneration is not only about planting trees. It is also about becoming more honest, more present and more able to live what we say matters.

Rooted in lived practice

We share what we have actually grown.

We share what we have learned, what we have practised, what we have tested, and what we are still learning. Not theory borrowed from a textbook — observations from real soil, real seasons and real mistakes.

We share what we have learnt through years of regeneration, so you can create a life and a world that is beautiful, resilient and alive.

Australia - learning to listen

Gratitude carried forward

For seven formative years, Australia changed the way we listened—to the land, to one another and to the deeper relationships that sustain life. We carry gratitude for the Country and communities that held this chapter of our journey.

Awakening Eden does not claim First Nations stories or symbols as its own. We honour living cultures with humility and believe true relationship begins with listening, respect, reciprocity and care.

With gratitude Benjy remembers Gabu Damien, a Warungu man from Far North Queensland, and the gardens and lessons in listening they created together. We thank Adam Collins, and Kate and Stu, our biodynamic teachers and wisdom keepers. And we hold special gratitude for Dan, Grace and Mark of the Sacred Earth Foundation family, whose vision and ours grew into a joined mission.

Work with Benjy

Regenerate tired orchards, gardens and land into resilient, abundant living systems.

  • From overwhelm to claritySee the whole place, find leverage and know what to do in the next 30–90 days.
  • Water, soil & orchard resilienceHold more rainfall in the landscape, feed living soil and renew what is already growing.
  • Food forests & abundant edgesTurn diversity, woody biomass, living roots and useful edges into food, shade, habitat and fertility.
  • Design through stewardshipProject support, team teaching and seasonal adaptation—so the knowledge stays with the people caring for the land.

Benjy’s field note The first thing I look for on a new property is not what is missing. It is what is already trying to grow. Read that first, and most of the plan writes itself.

Services stay within confirmed professional scope and do not imply licensed engineering, hydrology or guaranteed outcomes.

The next chapter

Calling in aligned co-creators

Awakening Eden is a growing meeting place for landowners, regenerative practitioners, educators, community builders, ethical businesses, researchers, funders and aligned organisations who want to turn positive intent into useful, life-serving projects.

Bring a place, a skill, a network, a resource or an idea. We can begin with one human conversation and see whether there is a practical way to collaborate, learn together and leave people, places and communities more alive.

What we are growing toward

From a Living Library to living landscapes.

We are growing Awakening Eden online and on the ground: sharing practical tools, helping land and people regenerate, gathering community for useful action, and planting the seeds of future demonstration landscapes and regenerative learning places.

Painted vision of a flourishing garden community gathered beneath a living tree
A garden of harmonyTending land, life and community together.

Our regenerative New Earth eco-village is a vision we want to grow with aligned hearts, souls and hands. We are seeking people to partner, collaborate, share skills, explore funding and help create a beautiful place where land and community thrive together.

The library, guides and land services exist today. The village is a future project; land, partnerships and funding are still to be developed.

Keep the gift moving

Freely given, freely shared

Awakening Eden is rooted in a culture of reciprocity and gift. Much of what we create is offered freely so these ideas can travel, take root and serve life wherever they are needed.

Your gift supports the people and work behind this mission: free learning resources, regenerative projects, gatherings and the steps toward a future sanctuary, learning centre and village. We are still seeking the right land and partners. Gifts support the wider mission; they are not a purchase of land, a residency or an investment.

If something here has nourished, inspired or supported you, you’re welcome to give back in whatever way feels right:

  • share it with someone who needs it
  • contribute your own knowledge
  • join the community
  • support the work
  • or offer a financial gift of any size

Give what feels alive. Take what nourishes.
Let the gift keep moving.
