Eden Designer

Read the land before drawing the plan.

A guided tool in development to turn maps, observations, needs and dreams into a clearer regenerative direction—without pretending software can replace the land, local knowledge or professional judgment.

The prototype opens on an external preview service. It is not yet the final public product.

Painted permaculture plan: Zone 0 home, Zone 1 daily care, Zone 2 regular care, Zone 3 wider production, Zone 4 managed woodland and Zone 5 wild habitat
Read the whole place. Bring everyday care closer. Zones 0–5 connect home, daily gardens, productive systems, woodland and wild habitat. Frequency of use guides their placement alongside climate, landscape, water, access and soil. Explore the zoning guide →

The promise—and the boundary

Clarity without false certainty.

Eden Designer should help people ask better questions, reveal relationships and organise next observations. It must never invent site facts, prescribe major earthworks blindly, or present concept guidance as surveying, engineering, ecological assessment, planning or legal approval.

A future guided journey

Observe. Understand. Imagine. Phase.

1 · Read

Begin with place

Climate, contours, catchments, slope, aspect, geology, soils, fire, access, vegetation, history and the people who will care for the system.

2 · Relate

See the living system

Connect water, living roots, biomass, biodiversity, shelter, food, movement, livelihoods and wellbeing instead of optimising one element alone.

3 · Act

Choose safe next steps

Separate reversible early actions from decisions needing field verification, permits, engineers or experienced local practitioners.

Non-negotiable safeguards

  • Water first, safelyMajor earthworks always require site-specific checks, overflow design and human approval.
  • Uncertainty is visibleUnknowns become observation tasks—not confident-looking guesses.
  • Evidence has labelsEstablished research, practitioner insight, tradition, hypothesis and worldview stay distinguishable.
  • People remain responsibleEvery consequential design passes through an informed human gate.

Technology in service to relationship.

A compass, not an oracle.

The next product step is to test the intake with real land stewards, then connect recommendations to the Living Library and Benjy’s human design pathway.
