Village research garden

Test the dream against reality.

A clear home for the evidence, comparable projects, practitioner lessons, legal questions and unresolved tensions behind the affordable regenerative village vision.

An illustrated open book growing into a living garden of knowledge
A research garden: sourced, tended, revised and connected back to lived practice.

Truth protocol

Hope deserves rigorous roots.

Every entry should say what kind of knowing it represents: established evidence, a real project’s measured results, practitioner observation, traditional knowledge in context, emerging hypothesis, legal guidance or spiritual worldview. Attractive claims do not become facts through repetition.

Compare

Learn from living precedents

Study what communities measured, what residents experienced, what failed, who carried invisible labour and whether affordability survived over time.

Prototype

Start smaller than a village

Test shared tools, learning days, land-care agreements, governance practices and transparent budgets before acquiring land or recruiting residents.

Measure

Track more than money

Soil, infiltration, canopy, biodiversity, food, affordability, participation, wellbeing, local value, conflict load and resident retention.

Let the questions become compost for wiser decisions.

This is the structure; the sourced library comes next.

Research publication should proceed shelf by shelf, with dated sources, comparable-climate examples and explicit human review before recommendations are treated as canonical.
